Louisiana Coastal Area (LCA) Ecosystem Restoration Study
Main Report - Nov. 2004
The LCA Studay identifies the most critical human & natural ecological needs of the coastal area, presents & evaluates conceptual alternatives for meeting the most critical needs, identifies the kinds of restoration features that could be implemented in the near-term (within 5 to 10 years), addresses needs through features that provide the highest return in net benefits per dollar of cost, & identifies the key scientific uncertainties & engineering challenges facing the effort to protect & restore the ecosystem, & proposes a strategy for resolving them.
