Data Collection Network to Support Ecosystem Forecasting for the Barataria Basin - Mississippi River Domain
CLEAR Vol III 2006
This report is an expansion of the CLEAR 2003 monitoring report. It details the first steps toward optimizing a data collection plan for oceanographic& water quality observations in the Barataria Basin& lower extent of the Mississippi River to support ecosystem hindcasting, nowcasting& forecasting capabilities. The data collection plan begins by taking into account existing monitoring efforts & specific monitoring needs as detailed by the local modeling community. Additionally, this effort initiates the development of a comprehensive monitoring database& consolidation of information regarding the locations of monitoring stations and the availability of data to the modeling & assessment community.
